Week 3

Week 1-2: Germination
March 8th (day 9) Eggplant and Onions germinated

Week 2-3 The peppers germinated sometime soon after the Eggplant and Onions.
Our tomatoes are almost ready to be re-potted!

Chris cleared off our cold frames and we were happy to find the soil workable, spinach and some arugula from the fall were still growing in there! Yesterday Chris transplanted some spinach and lettuce plants to see how they would fair from the drastic change in temperature. So far so good.

Germination

Wow, these little plants are growing quick. Do they not realize we have another impending snowstorm? Instead of thinking of the piles of snow I will dream about fresh herbs, tomatoes from the vine, and many many salads. Also did you know that plants don't need light to germinate?  So when starting your plants you don't need to turn on your lights till the plants pop through.

 We are now waiting on the leeks,onions, eggplant, and peppers. In the meantime Chris is making some frozen yogurt to help us dream of summer.
