Soiling Blocking Day 2

We didn't have enough time last night to finish our planting, so tonight we will start the rest of our early plants.

With the onions and lettuce we kept debating whether or not to do soil blocks or a flat tray filled with soil. If we did the flat of soil we would need some way to have it drain and water evenly, but if we did the soil blocks we wondered if we were wasting space and could plant more.

So final decision is to try out the soil blocks, we will see how much we like it for these style plants.

Onions/Leeks/Shallot
New York Early
Rossa di Milano
Crystal White Wax Mini- Onion
Prisma Red Shallot
Blue De Solaize Leek
King Sieg Leek

Lettuce/Spinach
Lingua Da Canarino

Arugula (such a funny word to say)
Large Leaf Round Mache
Space Spinach
Tyee Spinach
Giant Winter Spinach
(think we like salads?)

Spices
Sweet Basil
Cinnamon Boys Basil
Thai Basil

We went through all of our mixed soil between the two nights of planting. We have a few weeks before we need to do our next set of plants. Maybe tomorrow I will find some photos of our past years garden for some inspiration with all our grey skies.
